Thoughtful Design for Real Life
Creating calm, characterful spaces that feel as good as they look.
At House of Milligan, design is about more than just how a space looks - it’s about how it works for you. With a focus on warmth, flow and functionality, I help you shape a home that reflects your style, suits your lifestyle and supports your everyday.
Whether you're refreshing a single room or planning a full renovation, I offer clear, considered design that makes the process simple, stylish and stress-free. All with a budget-conscious approach that never compromises on creativity.
How We'll Work Together
-
1. Consultation
Your journey begins with a relaxed, up-to-60-minute online consultation where we’ll talk through your space, goals and preferences. If you are keen to progress I’ll begin crafting a vision tailored just for you – simple, stylish and fuss-free.
-
2. Moodboards
Next, I’ll create a moodboard that captures the look and feel of your ideal space. This will give you a clear direction and help you visualise how everything ties together – from furniture to colour palettes. It’s a collaborative step to ensure the design reflects your style and needs.
-
3. Shopping List
With your moodboard in place, I’ll create a curated shopping list to help bring the design to life. It’s tailored to your budget and includes direct links to everything you need, so you can shop with confidence and turn the concept into a finished space.
-
4. Refinement
Once you’ve had a chance to review everything, we’ll hop on a follow-up call to tweak and refine the final details together. This could include adjusting product choices, offering styling advice or answering any last-minute questions – all to ensure your design feels just right before you move ahead.
Spaces I’ve Transformed

“I am absolutely blown away by the work from House of Milligan on my bathroom refurb. What was once a dark and uninspiring space is now completely unrecognisable.
From the very beginning, Posie took the time to understand what I wanted, even when I wasn’t sure myself. She guided me through every step, from layout ideas to choosing the perfect tiles, fixtures, and finishes. Her eye for detail and ability to create a cohesive, beautiful design is unmatched.
The end result is beyond anything I could have imagined. Biggest thank you to Posie and House of Milligan!”

Yes – if you're based locally, I’d love to work with you in person. Just pop me a message and we can check if it’s possible for your project.
-
Absolutely. If your needs fall outside my usual design flow, just let me know. I’m happy to create something bespoke that works perfectly for you and your space.
-
We’ll start with a relaxed video call to chat through your style, space, and vision. I’ll then create a moodboard and a curated shopping list tailored to your needs. We’ll have a final call where I’ll present the design, and we’ll tweak and refine the details together to make sure you are really happy. After that, I’ll make the final changes and send over your completed design package.
-
It usually takes 2–4 weeks to deliver your full design package after the consultation, depending on the size and complexity of your project. I’ll always keep you in the loop on timings.

You’ll have a chance to review everything in a final call, and I include 1 round of tweaks as part of the package. If you’d like more revisions after that, no problem – there’s a small extra fee of £15 per round.
-
I always try to include in-stock options, but if something becomes unavailable, just let me know and I’ll happily help find a suitable alternative.
-
Yes, in order to secure your consultation I will require a £50 deposit. This will then be deducted from the cost if you decide to proceed with the project.
-
Following the consultation the first 50% is invoiced (minus the £50 deposit required to secure the consultation). The remaining 50% is then due once the design is complete and you’re happy with everything.
